About Courage Kenny Cards

Courage Kenny Cards are high quality holiday cards featuring original, exclusive and museum-quality artwork, many by artists with disabilities. Proceeds from the sale of these cards support rehabilitation, independent living and recreational services for people with disabilities.

The first Courage Card, sent in 1958, was a two-color pencil drawing. Today, hundreds of artists from around the world submit work to our annual art search. Artists of all abilities are invited to submit designs for the next holiday card collection. For more information and the art search guidelines please visit Become an Artist

Thousands of Courage Kenny Cards are sent each year by businesses, organizations, and individuals. To date, Courage Kenny Cards has raised more than $6 million. We're proud of the work we do, and we're proud of our customers - the caring and generous people who choose to send our cards to their clients, colleagues, family members, and friends.

CUSTOMIZABLE CARDS are available here on our website and through our catalog.

BOXED CARDS are available at our community retail partners who generously return 100% of the proceeds: Lunds & Byerly's, Bachman's, Rose Floral, Stillwater and County Market, Hudson.

Since 1958, Courage Kenny Cards has sought out artwork by artists with a disability to be reproduced as holiday cards, and we are proud to continue the tradition of showcasing the amazing talent of these fine artists.

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute also supports artists with disabilities through the Art of Possibilities Art Show & Sale. Art of Possibilities is one of only a handful of juried art shows in the world featuring artists with physical or mental impairments.

The annual art show and sale, celebrating its 53rd year in 2016, is free and open to the public during its three week-exhibit in May and is enjoyed by more than 1,500 guests annually. The show has grown over the years from a forum for people with disabilities to sell their artwork to a major showcase of fine art.

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute provides a continuum of rehabilitation services for people with short- and long-term conditions, injuries and disabilities. Courage Center which started in 1928 and Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute which opened in 1942 were both founded to bridge a gap in services for people with disabilities.

Today, the combined organization continues to serve clients of all ages who have a wide range of diagnoses. Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute maximizes the quality of life for people of all ages and all abilities by delivering comprehensive, person-centered care and rehabilitation throughout life.

While our name has changed, our guiding value remains the same. Your purchase helps people with disabilities live more independently.
